Information Technology Specialist

Job description

Grnata Group is looking for an Information Technology Specialist in Manama to maintain, support and secure the organization's computer systems, networks and technical infrastructure. The role mixes hands-on technical support with strategic system management, making sure technology resources run efficiently and securely and providing essential support to end users.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Act as the first point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues by phone, email or in person
• Implement and monitor security measures, including anti-virus software and firewalls
• Run regular data backups and make sure disaster recovery plans are in place
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions and access rights
• Maintain documentation of IT systems, network configurations and troubleshooting procedures
• Assist in researching, purchasing and deploying new hardware and software

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience in an IT support or technical specialist role
• In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with cloud services (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) and virtual environments
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ are highly preferred
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
