Housekeeping Supervisor

Job description

ibis Seef Manama is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants, House Attendants and Public Area Attendants, ensuring guest rooms, corridors, public areas and service areas are cleaned and maintained to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants, House Attendants, Public Area Attendants.
• Assign daily work schedules, room allocations, and special projects according to occupancy levels and operational requirements.
• Ensure all guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and service areas are cleaned and maintained according to brand standards.
• Ensure proper handling and reporting of Lost & Found items according to hotel procedures.
• Monitor DND (Do Not Disturb) rooms and ensure appropriate follow-up procedures are followed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and complaints.
• Lead, motivate, coach, and support the housekeeping team; assist with performance evaluations and development plans.
• Control and monitor the usage of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, linen, uniforms, and equipment.
• Assist with monthly inventories of linen, guest supplies, and housekeeping materials and report shortages promptly.
• Ensure housekeeping equipment is maintained and used safely and correctly.
• Complete daily inspection reports, discrepancy reports, and shift handovers.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations and hotel standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Inventory and stock management skills.
• Proficiency in hotel systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Experience in a 3- to 4-star hotel in the same position.
