Finance Manager Bangladesh

Job description

NRC is looking for a Finance Manager to join the Bangladesh mission. The role holder will ensure effective development, implementation, and oversight of financial policies, procedures, and systems, as well as hold responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, and financial management. He/she will strengthen financial controls; ensure sound financial management practices; monitor organisational performance; provide guidance to management; ensure compliance with policies, donor requirements, and statutory regulations; and deliver financial services. This position is only open to candidates who have the legal eligibility to work in Bangladesh; NRC is unable to provide work permits or visa sponsorships for this position. Duty station: Dhaka, Bangladesh. Contract duration: 12 months, with approximately 20% travel. Grade 9 in NRC's International Salary Scale, with accompanying terms and conditions and a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Line management of staff (performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, induction, development, and duty of care)
• Finance support and supervision
• Finance training development and training of staff with financial responsibilities
• Ensure compliance and adherence to policies, guidance, procedures, donor and auditor requirements, and Bangladesh legal requirements
• Implementation of financial systems, routines, and procedures
• Budget control and cashflow monitoring
• Provision of financial reports and analysis
• Implementation of anti-corruption policy

Requirements

• Senior financial management experience in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Proficiency in computer software and modern accounting systems
• Familiarity with the financial operating context in Bangladesh
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
• Only open to candidates with legal eligibility to work in Bangladesh (no work permit/visa sponsorship provided)
