Job description

The role centers on ensuring academic quality across JAAGO Foundation schools through direct supervision and support to teachers in both conventional and online settings. The coordinator guides lesson planning, assessment practices, and resource utilization while reviewing student performance data. Location: House - 9, Block - L, Road - 1/B, Chairman Bari, Banani, Dhaka, 1213. Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Contract: 2 years, renewable.

Responsibilities

• Review lesson plans and teaching materials for curriculum alignment
• Conduct classroom observations (physical/virtual) to assess teaching quality
• Monitor student learning progress and identify underperforming students
• Review assessment records and provide feedback
• Track teacher and student attendance
• Maintain learning environments per program guidelines
• Provide constructive feedback on instructional practices
• Design targeted academic support for low-performing students
• Build teacher capacity through coaching and mentoring
• Support teacher recruitment and onboarding
• Report needs to supervisors
• Guide smooth implementation of school activities
• Assist with co-curricular activities and academic events
• Ensure timely completion of academic deliverables
• Support teachers addressing challenges
• Maintain documentation of academic reports and student progress
• Promote safe, inclusive learning environments and adhere to safeguarding policies and zero-tolerance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Sciences, Commerce, or relevant discipline
• Pedagogy or assessment certifications preferred
• 1-2 years minimum in teaching, academic supervision, or quality assurance
• Demonstrated experience in classroom observation, lesson planning support, assessment design, or multi-school monitoring preferred
• SSC coaching experience advantageous
• Curriculum alignment and lesson planning understanding
• Assessment data analysis capability
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organizational skills for multitasking
• Digital literacy (Google Workspace, communication platforms)
• Collaborative teamwork
