As Purchasing Development at Inter IKEA Group, the team purchases the materials and production capacity to produce IKEA home furnishing products and food, with more than 1,200 co-workers in 27 locations. The Supply Planner works in a small 3-member micro-team with a Business Developer (prices and commercial relation with the supplier) and a Production Engineer (production process and quality), and as part of the annual action plan is responsible for improving the logistics process to ethically reduce logistics costs in the overall IKEA supply chain. This position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh; travel is part of the assignment because Supply Planners work closely with suppliers. • Secure operational capacities by ensuring high quality capacity data from suppliers and working proactively on exceptions with the Need Planner and supplier
• Contribute to tactical capacity planning based on supplier performance on agreed capacity
• Update and secure correct business set-up information in all relevant systems and proactively act on deviations from goal
• Prepare suppliers for best replenishment and delivery solutions by maintaining and developing supplier delivery performance and sender lead-times
• Contribute to identifying the best logistical offer and implement, maintain and review it with customer and total cost in mind
• Plan and execute the best set-up for range changes at suppliers and during constraint periods
• Follow up, analyse and improve supplier delivery performance and ensure goods are shipped in time
• Secure correct availability information from suppliers to IKEA Retail
• Develop suppliers' logistics competence through supplier development projects, training and working methods
• Gather, process and compile logistics, engineering and supplier development data for reporting and fact-based decision-making

যোগ্যতা

• Degree with Supply Chain/Logistics certifications preferred
• Relevant work experience of 5 to 7 years preferred
• Exposure to the textile industry preferred
• Knowledge of supply chain logistics, restocking, capacity planning, supplier capabilities, materials and production flow
• Good leadership skills to lead and develop suppliers in planning and logistics topics
• Analytical skills and excellent knowledge of tools such as Advanced Excel and Power BI
• Advanced knowledge of statistics, analysis methodologies, reporting and data visualization tools
• Strong communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to manage time well and balance between the factory floor and office work
• Strong business sense and cost consciousness
