Oxfam in Bangladesh is looking for a WASH Sector Support professional to strengthen the quality, sustainability and accountability of WASH interventions in the Rohingya humanitarian response. The role supports WASH sector coordination, strengthens collaboration between WASH and Health actors, and translates disease surveillance, joint assessments and other public-health evidence into practical, verifiable actions. The post holder will also lead or support research, evidence generation and learning to inform programme adaptation, partner capacity strengthening, advocacy and future programme design, while ensuring meaningful participation of local partners. Only Bangladeshi nationals are eligible to apply.

দায়িত্ব

• Support WASH sector coordination and strengthen collaboration between WASH and Health actors
• Translate disease surveillance, joint assessments and public-health evidence into practical, verifiable WASH actions
• Lead or support research, evidence generation and learning to inform programme adaptation and future programme design
• Strengthen partner capacity and advocacy, ensuring meaningful participation of local partners
• Represent the organisation in humanitarian coordination with government, UN agencies, NGOs and local partners

যোগ্যতা

• University degree in public health, environmental health, WASH, epidemiology, health sciences or a closely related discipline, with postgraduate training in public health, epidemiology, research methods or humanitarian WASH
• At least five years of relevant experience at the WASH-health interface, including disease risks, surveillance, environmental health, hygiene or outbreak preparedness and response
• Experience with EWARS, JART or comparable alert, joint-assessment and response mechanisms; Cox's Bazar experience is an advantage
• Experience representing an organisation in humanitarian coordination
• Strong research, assessment, data interpretation, evidence synthesis and technical writing skills
• Strong facilitation, relationship-building and diplomatic communication skills
• Sensitivity to gender, protection, disability and cultural differences
• Clear written and verbal English communication skills
• Bangladeshi nationals only
