Wood is recruiting a Senior Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join its team in Oman for a secondment role. The assignment duration is one year. The engineer executes the activities and processes associated with materials engineering in projects and provides technical expertise in materials, corrosion and degradation mechanisms, mitigation plans and standards across the facility and project life cycle for the oil and gas industry.

• Responsible for material engineering and selection for various projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fitness for the job
• Develop corrosion control plans and mitigation strategies, and inspection and monitoring plans
• Perform coating qualifications and procedures, including reviewing and writing
• Review material databases, manage documents, review data and recommend action
• Prepare materials and welding qualifications and procedures, including PQRs and WPSs
• Responsible for material examinations, testing and NDT inspections in compliance with company and industry standards
• Support integrity programs such as Risk Based Inspection and Process Safety programs
• Ensure compliance with HSE and QA/QC plans as part of design and material engineering
• Manage staff and third-party activities
• Develop local young engineers and provide development programs

যোগ্যতা

• BSc Engineering degree
• Minimum 12 years of experience in a relevant position
• Wide materials experience across services in the oil and gas industry, including refinery
• Skills with industry material types, limitations, optimum usage and performance
• Ability to recommend cost-effective selections based on performance history and project application
