Wood is recruiting a Lead QAQC Engineer to be seconded to the client office. The position is based in Musandam, Oman for a long-term assignment. The role contributes to the implementation of QA/QC systems, processes and activities as defined in the OQ Project Quality Management Plan and leads a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors to complete project inspection tasks.

• Contribute to implementation of QA/QC systems, processes and activities as defined in the OQ Project Quality Management Plan
• Maintain the Project Quality Management System reflecting OQ specifications, standards and procedures for all project activities
• Develop, implement and update the project quality plan
• Review and approve Contractor Quality Plans, Programs and Project Quality Documents; prepare quality assurance procedures
• Plan and implement owner reviews of Contractor and Vendor QA/QC documents and inspection and testing procedures
• Engage Third Party Inspection agencies (local and overseas) and manage inspections and testing
• Monitor inspection and quality control efforts of the EPC Contractor and participate in inspection and testing per the approved QCP/ITP
• Develop audit plans and ensure audits are conducted on EPC Contractors, subcontractors and vendors
• Implement non-conformance and corrective action systems and monitor project quality KPIs
• Review Manufacturer Data Books, Inspection Record Books and Project Quality Records
• Lead a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors to complete project inspection tasks

যোগ্যতা

• University degree in Mechanical / Chemical or an equivalent engineering discipline
• Certified Lead Auditor for a management system such as ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001
• Discipline-specific certifications as required (e.g. welding, NDT, coating)
• Minimum 15 years of QA/QC experience in the oil and petrochemical industry, covering engineering, procurement and construction phases
• Inspection and testing experience at manufacturing units and construction sites; multidiscipline QC experience preferred
• Experience with API 650 storage tanks, process piping, onshore pipeline, pumps and package equipment
• Good knowledge in the application of industry codes and standards
