Project Engineering Lead, Laldia Container Terminal

APM Terminals, part of A.P. Moller-Maersk, has been nominated by the Government of Bangladesh to develop the Laldia Container Terminal, a greenfield project downstream of Chattogram Port that is planned to handle up to 1.47 million TEUs a year with modern quay infrastructure, advanced crane technology and automated equipment. The Project Engineering Lead plays a key leadership role in delivering the project design, from concept development through Issued-for-Construction packages, working with consultants, contractors, suppliers and APM Terminals' global network of engineering experts. The role requires a civil or structural engineering background with 7 to 10 years of infrastructure design experience, ideally on container terminals, quay walls, breakwaters or related port infrastructure.

দায়িত্ব

• Lead the delivery and coordination of all project design phases from concept development through Issued-for-Construction packages
• Manage internal and external consultants, contractors, suppliers and engineering stakeholders for timely and compliant execution
• Ensure designs meet APM Terminals standards, regulatory requirements, operational needs and applicable international engineering codes
• Support procurement, including tender documentation and participation in technical bid evaluations
• Oversee design interfaces, risk management, quality assurance and design change control
• Coordinate with construction, permitting and operational teams to ensure constructability and execution readiness
• Monitor design progress and milestones and report regularly to project leadership and governance forums

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in infrastructure design, ideally involving container terminals, quay walls, breakwaters or related port infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and consultant teams through complex project design phases
• Strong understanding of permitting processes, international design standards, engineering best practices and design governance
• Ability to translate operational and business requirements into technically sound engineering solutions
• Experience supporting design, construction, permitting and approval activities for large-scale infrastructure projects
• Master's degree in Engineering Management, Construction Management or a related field is advantageous
• Previous client-side experience and exposure to container terminal construction projects are desirable
