BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh. The Fire Attendant, Safety, Operations is responsible for ensuring 24/7 operation of fire safety equipment (protection and detection systems), water supply for domestic use and fire reserve, and providing assistance in relevant Occupational Health and Safety issues at the BRAC Head Office.

দায়িত্ব

• Monitor the automatic fire detection and alarm system
• Ensure regular inspection of fire extinguishers, ensure timely refilling and inform the supervisor of any defect
• Keep the protection and detection systems up to date
• Ensure water supply for BRAC Head Office
• Assist with record keeping for all scheduled checkups
• Assist in daily, weekly and trimester checks of all safety equipment
• Assist in arranging and conducting safety training and tool box meetings with the workforce
• Maintain the fire hydrant system, including the fire pump, fully operational
• Provide basic first aid as required
• Safeguarding: follow BRAC's safeguarding policy and reporting procedure for any reportable incident

যোগ্যতা

• Class VIII pass
• Minimum 1 year of experience in basic fire detection and protection systems; troubleshooting in fire safety installations is mandatory
• Basic Occupational Health and Safety experience is preferred
• Efficient in handling fire extinguishers and hydrant systems
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety, firefighting and fire prevention
• Basic knowledge of fire detection and protection systems and the fire control panel
• Knowledge of fire safety, electrical safety, and pump and hydrant systems
• Able to write basic incident reports, log sheets and work registers
