Finance & Accounting Lead - Business Central Setup, AI Agents & Latvian Tax

A Latvia-based startup is building a finance function that combines accurate accounting, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and practical AI automation. It is hiring a finance professional who can personally manage the accounting, configure the supporting systems and use AI agents to do the work more efficiently. The role includes daily bookkeeping, closing, reporting, cash planning and applicable Latvian tax reporting, and the full migration from QuickBooks to Business Central with no external implementation partner. Full-time, fully remote, flexible hours; compensation is on a startup budget, discussed transparently during hiring and paid monthly in USD.

দায়িত্ব

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, expense accounting and bank reconciliations
• Complete month-end and year-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and supporting documentation
• Set up, configure and maintain Business Central, including chart of accounts, posting groups, dimensions, VAT setup, bank accounts and accounting periods
• Personally execute the complete migration from QuickBooks to Business Central, from data extraction and mapping through trial imports, reconciliation and go-live
• Review accounting records for the past five years during migration, investigate missing or incorrect entries and document corrections
• Prepare and manage Latvian tax and statutory reporting, including VAT, corporate income tax, payroll-related obligations and VID/EDS processes
• Handle international customers, suppliers, contractors, foreign currencies and cross-border transactions
• Manage cash-flow forecasts, budgets, runway monitoring and management reporting
• Prepare payments and administer payroll and contractor payments within agreed approval controls
• Configure, instruct and supervise AI agents supporting accounting workflows and verify their outputs

যোগ্যতা

• Proven experience personally performing the full accounting cycle for companies in one or more European countries
• Practical experience with accounting, taxation and statutory reporting in Europe; direct Latvian accounting and VID/EDS experience is an advantage
• Hands-on experience independently setting up Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and executing a complete accounting-system migration
• Practical experience using AI agents or AI-supported automation in finance or accounting
• Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills for reconciling inconsistent data
• Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to work with Latvian-language financial documents
• A relevant accounting or finance qualification, or equivalent substantial practical experience
