The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) is filling 300 vacant Assistant Dental Surgeon posts (cadre post code 450, subject code 392) in the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health) cadre through the competitive 51st BCS (Special) Examination-2026. The posts are open to Bangladeshi citizens of any gender with BDS or an equivalent degree, aged 21 to 32 years on 1 September 2026. Candidates who have sat the final BDS exam but whose result is not yet out may apply provisionally, provided all their written exams finish by 25 October 2026 and they go on to earn the degree.

Selection is by a 200-mark MCQ written test (Bangla 20, English 20, Bangladesh affairs 20, international affairs 20, mental ability 10, mathematical reasoning 10, and 100 marks on the cadre subject; 0.50 negative mark per wrong answer), expected in November 2026 in Dhaka, followed by a 100-mark viva (pass mark 50) at the BPSC office in Agargaon. The number of vacancies may change.

Applications are online only, on BPSC's official Teletalk portal (bpsc.teletalk.com.bd), from 1 October 2026 (10:00 AM) until 25 October 2026 (6:00 PM). The fee is Tk 205 (Tk 55 for candidates with disabilities, ethnic minority and third-gender candidates), paid by SMS from a Teletalk prepaid mobile to Teletalk, not to JobBangla, by 28 October 2026, 6:00 PM. • BDS or an equivalent degree (a foreign degree needs a BMDC equivalence certificate)
• BMDC provisional or permanent registration certificate (attested copy at the viva)
• Age 21-32 years on 1 September 2026 (no affidavit accepted for age proof)
• Bangladeshi citizen; marrying or being engaged to a foreign national without prior government permission disqualifies the candidate
• Candidates already in government, semi-government, autonomous or local-authority service need their employer's permission and clearance (NOC) at the viva
• Minimum height and weight at the medical board: men 152.40 cm and 49.99 kg, women 147.32 cm and 43.54 kg, with eyesight as per rules
• Online application (BPSC Form-1) with a colour photo (300x300 px, max 100 KB, taken within 3 months, no sunglasses) and signature (300x80 px, max 60 KB)
• Application window: 1 October 2026, 10:00 AM to 25 October 2026, 6:00 PM; fee by SMS within 72 hours (by 28 October 2026, 6:00 PM)
• Application fee Tk 205; Tk 55 for candidates with disabilities, ethnic minority and third-gender candidates (others paying Tk 55 are disqualified)
• Written-test passers must submit BPSC Form-1, BPSC Form-3, attested certificates and transcripts, NID/birth certificate/passport, police verification form and a medical practitioner's height/weight/chest certificate at the viva
• Only one application per candidate; false information or unfair means disqualifies the candidate from this and future BPSC exams
