Tech Data Controller

Job description

The Technical Data Controller supports data entry and records storage of all routine and non-routine work paperwork accomplished by line maintenance, in line with company procedures. The role ensures aircraft technical records are stored to GCAA regulations and departmental key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements and line safety rules
• Implement Safety Management System processes and encourage a positive reporting culture
• Follow the procedures in the Safety and Quality Management Manual
• Implement policies and procedures for the control of short-term planning, particularly data entry and record storage and archive
• Ensure aircraft technical records are stored to GCAA regulations and departmental KPIs
• Reconcile all aircraft maintenance paperwork as per Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) procedures
• Report erroneous or missing logs to line stations in the agreed format and timescales
• Maintain a full handover log of all events and outstanding issues on the worked shift
• Help train colleagues in Etihad Airways IT systems

Requirements

• Diploma or aircraft license with at least two years of experience in aviation maintenance
• Three years of experience in an aviation engineering or production environment
• Knowledge of aviation regulations (GCAA CARs, ICAO, IOSA) and Safety Management Systems
• Fluency in English and high computer literacy
• Excellent reporting and writing skills
