Job description

The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Sherpur (Bangladesh Police) is recruiting for posts under its revenue budget by direct recruitment from permanent residents of Sherpur district (notice dated 25 October 2026). Matters not covered in the notice follow the rules of Bangladesh Police Headquarters. This listing is for 2 Steno-Typist-cum-Computer Operator posts at Grade-14 of the national pay scale 2026 (Tk 23,500 - 56,800). The required qualification is Bachelor degree in any subject with at least second class or equivalent CGPA, and candidates must be 18 to 32 years old on 1 October 2026.

Selection is by a written test, a practical test and a viva. Applications are online only, through the SP Sherpur Teletalk recruitment portal (spsherpur.teletalk.com.bd), from 27 October 2026 (10:00 AM) to 26 November 2026 (4:00 PM). Requirements

• Bachelor degree in any subject from a recognised university with at least second class or equivalent CGPA
• Proficiency in using computers
• Minimum shorthand speed of 70 words per minute in English and 45 words per minute in Bangla
• Minimum computer typing speed of 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Bangla
• Permanent resident of Sherpur district
• Age 18 to 32 years as of 1 October 2026; an affidavit is not accepted as proof of age
• State your correct latest educational qualification on the application; qualifications hidden at application cannot be claimed later for promotion or other benefits
• Candidates employed in government, semi-government or autonomous bodies must apply with their authority's permission, select their Departmental Status option, and submit the original no-objection certificate at the viva
• At the viva, show originals and submit one attested photocopy of: all educational (and experience) certificates, the citizenship certificate from the union parishad or municipality, quota certificates where claimed, a character certificate from a Grade-9 or higher gazetted officer or union parishad/municipality head, the National ID or birth certificate, and the Applicant's Copy
• Application fee Tk 112 (Tk 100 fee plus Tk 12 Teletalk service charge)
• Online application and fee payment open 27 October 2026, 10:00 AM and close 26 November 2026, 4:00 PM; the fee must be paid by SMS within 72 hours of submitting the form or the application is not accepted
• Upload a colour photo (300x300 px, max 100 KB) and signature (300x80 px, max 60 KB) with the online form
• No TA/DA is paid for the written or viva exams
• Forged documents, false information or cheating cancel candidature at any stage and may lead to legal action
• The recruiting authority may amend or cancel the circular, and its decision on recruitment is final; final recommendations follow the latest government quota policy
