Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure

Job description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for its infrastructure team in Dubai. You will manage costs, ensure contractual compliance and provide transparent financial oversight on complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cost analysis, estimation, and budgeting for infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives
• Prepare and manage bills of quantities, specifications, and tender documentation with meticulous attention to detail
• Review and analyze survey data, measurement records, and project information to verify accuracy and completeness
• Manage contract administration activities, including variations, claims, and change orders, while maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders
• Operate and manage specialized quantity surveying software systems and land-information platforms for data storage, analysis, and reporting
• Conduct research on legal records, contractual terms, and industry standards to ensure compliance and identify potential risks
• Prepare detailed reports, plots, maps, and financial statements that clearly communicate project status and cost implications
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, architects, and clients to gather requirements and provide strategic cost management recommendations
• Monitor project expenditures against budgets, identify variances, and implement corrective measures to maintain financial control
• Mentor junior team members and support their professional development through guidance and knowledge sharing
• Assess and mitigate financial and contractual risks through proactive analysis and innovative problem-solving
• Ensure all documentation is organized, accurate, and readily accessible for audits and project reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Professional certification as a Quantity Surveyor (QS) or equivalent qualification recognized in the UAE
• Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3-5 years in a senior capacity
• Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budget management, and financial analysis
