Senior Planner - Data Centre

Job description

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Senior Planner to join its data centre team in Qatar. The role covers project planning and scheduling for large data centre programmes, including reviewing contractor schedules in Primavera P6, analysing schedule performance and supporting project management with reliable scheduling insights.

Responsibilities

• Implement the project planning and scheduling strategy, plans and procedures
• Assess, review and monitor detailed Primavera P6 schedules including WBS, activities, relationships, constraints and resource loading
• Conduct schedule analysis, forecasts and performance tracking (for example SPI, CPI and Earned Value)
• Integrate contract packages into the master plan schedule and review contractor schedules
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and the client
• Develop a project control procedure to monitor project progress
• Assess contractor extension of time claims and prepare recommendation reports
• Analyse critical path and constraints and highlight the schedule impact of variances and change orders
• Prepare resourcing plans for project phases and recommend peak levelling
• Provide onsite progress measurement and verification of billing

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling
• Track record on hyperscale data centre construction projects from inception to completion
• Expert use of scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera P3, P5, P6), Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
• Proven experience with resource loading, cost and schedule integration, and baseline management
• Experience consolidating schedule performance data into a master schedule platform and delivering status reports for large projects
• Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies and contract terms
• Familiarity with international project management standards (PMI)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
