About the team

Our People Division helps create the conditions for colleagues and leaders to do their best work. Within Technology, the People Partnering team works alongside Directors, senior leaders, People Centres of Expertise and colleagues across the wider People function to shape people strategies that support business performance, organisational effectiveness and long-term growth.

You’ll join a collaborative team working across a fast-moving and highly matrixed division. This senior role offers the opportunity to influence the strategic Technology people agenda, lead significant organisational and cultural transformation, and ensure the business has the leadership capability, talent and operating model needed for the future.

As Senior People Partner – Technology, you’ll partner Directors and Senior Leadership Team stakeholders as a trusted adviser, translating business priorities into targeted people strategies and plans. You’ll use commercial understanding, people expertise and data-led insight to influence decisions, anticipate workforce requirements and address complex organisational challenges. You’ll also set priorities for the areas you support and lead a People Partner to deliver an aligned and effective service.

Day to day, you’ll lead strategic workforce planning, organisational design and complex change, ensuring transformation is embedded through leadership, culture and sustained behaviour change, all whilst managing senior-level cyclical HR activities. You’ll coach and challenge senior leaders to strengthen performance, accountability, inclusion and engagement, while mobilising specialist expertise across our Centres of Expertise. You’ll connect people and business performance measures, manage organisational and employee relations risk, and drive consistency, simplification and continuous improvement across the division.

You’re an experienced senior People or HR partner who can operate credibly with Directors and senior leadership teams. You connect people strategy to commercial priorities, use evidence to shape decisions and turn complex organisational challenges into focused, deliverable plans. You are comfortable setting direction, making considered recommendations and balancing long-term organisational needs with immediate delivery.

You build trusted relationships while providing constructive challenge and holding leaders to account. You can lead through ambiguity, influence across a matrix and bring together stakeholders with different priorities. You combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, apply sound judgement to organisational and employee-relations risks, and create an inclusive environment in which colleagues and teams can perform. Previous experience within a Technology function is not essential.

To be considered for this role, your application should demonstrate:

Please be aware that applications may close earlier than the listed end date if we receive a high volume of interest.

  • Proven delivery of organisational design, strategic workforce planning or complex workforce transformation, including evidence of how change was implemented and sustained.
  • Practical experience of using people data and business performance measures to identify organisational priorities, influence senior-level decisions and evaluate impact.
  • Evidence of coaching and constructively challenging senior leaders on performance, leadership, culture, inclusion or organisational risk, including complex employee relations matters.
