Senior Manager, Tax Technology

Job description

Axon is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Tax Technology to support and enhance technology enablement for its global tax function, leading process improvement, supporting tax-related systems and data flows, and designing scalable solutions across the tax technology ecosystem. Hybrid: onsite Tuesday to Friday at a US hub (Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City or Scottsdale), Mondays remote. Base pay is stated as $163,312 - $261,300 per year, plus bonus and stock awards.

Responsibilities

• Own the tax data mart in Snowflake, including SQL logic and promoting data from silver to gold layers
• Maintain reporting that keeps data consistent across D365, Salesforce, Vertex O Series and Sigma
• Lead e-invoicing enablement and support Vertex O Series administration
• Support Alteryx workflows and use AI tools to improve team productivity
• Act as go-to partner for Tax, Finance, IT and Business Systems, translating requirements into technical solutions
• Manage cross-functional projects with shifting requirements and support global tax operations across manufacturing and SaaS models

Requirements

• 8+ years in data analytics, systems or business analysis, tax technology, or finance technology
• Intermediate-to-advanced SQL, including schema awareness and pipeline troubleshooting
• Experience building or maintaining a data mart or reporting layer, ideally in Snowflake
• Sigma or similar BI tool experience
• Systems integration knowledge across ERP, CRM and tax platforms
• Working knowledge of order-to-cash processes and tax calculation concepts; sales or indirect tax experience ideal
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Systems architecture and problem-solving mindset
• Nice to have: e-invoicing, Alteryx, active use of AI platforms
