It is looking for a Quantity Surveyor in Dhaka who will be responsible for overseeing the cost of building (architectural, civil and MEP) projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, playing a significant role in ensuring the financial success of an ongoing construction project and working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the project seamlessly. Responsibilities

• Review all contractual documents, BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, tender schedules and rate analyses to fully understand project scope and cost implications
• Establish and maintain the cost baseline by validating quantities, rates and contract value elements at the project outset
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from construction drawings and reconcile them with tender BOQ quantities
• Prepare, review and verify detailed quantity measurement sheets for civil, structural, MEP, architectural, external works and specialised packages
• Prepare and certify Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), ensuring accurate assessment of progress and compliance with contract terms
• Evaluate contractor claims, additional works and rate applications, and assess entitlement in line with contractual provisions
• Evaluate Variation Orders (VOs) with clear breakdowns of quantities, rates, productivity allowances and justification reports
• Track and monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets and cashflow plans

Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or Civil Engineering from any reputed university
• Minimum 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost control and contract administration within construction, consultancy or PMC environments
• Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of building construction projects
• Strong exposure to BOQs, rate analyses, tender evaluations and cost reporting
