Location: Barisal Region (Barisal / Faridpur / Gopalganj), Bangladesh. Employment type: Full-time, Permanent. Work set-up: Remote (home-based on days without community visits). Requisition: R8151.

Compassion is seeking a passionate and adaptable Program Trainer I to support training and capacity development for partner communities across the Barisal region and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role with home-based work arrangements on days without community visits, designed to strengthen community-level program delivery by equipping local staff with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to support the well-being and development of children and families. The role is ideal for individuals who are motivated by community impact, enjoy working in diverse environments, and are eager to grow in training and development within the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging training sessions for community partner staff using participatory and adult learning approaches
• Conduct needs assessments and adapt learning content to local contexts
• Support the development of community partner staff through coaching and on-the-job guidance
• Customize and contextualize training materials to meet community-specific needs
• Travel regularly to partner communities within the assigned region (approximately 50% field work)
• Collaborate with program teams and stakeholders to enhance learning outcomes
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and support continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree a plus
• At least 1-2 years of experience in training, facilitation, or capacity development
• Experience working in community development, NGO, or field-based roles strongly preferred
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and participatory training methods
• Strong skills in needs assessment and contextualization of content
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital tools
• Must be willing to be based in Barisal, Faridpur, or Gopalganj
• Able to travel frequently to rural and remote areas
• Ability to adapt to different community contexts
