Job description

The Office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Taxes Zone-2, Dhaka is recruiting for the post of Office Support Staff (অফিস সহায়ক), Grade-20 (national pay scale Tk 20,000-48,400), with 9 vacancies, under recruitment circular Recruitment-2026/TZ-2, Dhaka/2026-2027/367 dated 24 September 2026. This post requires only a written examination -- candidates who pass are called directly for the oral/viva exam, with no separate practical test. Applications are accepted online only via https://tax2.teletalk.com.bd/ from 28 September 2026, 10:00 AM to 18 October 2026, 5:00 PM. After submitting the online form, the application fee (Tk 56 total, including Teletalk's service charge) must be paid within 72 hours via two SMS steps to 16222, or the application is not considered submitted.

Requirements

• SSC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized board
• Age must be between 18 and 32 years as of 1 September 2026; affidavits are not accepted as proof of age (except per the latest government circular/policy on age relaxation)
• Government, semi-government and autonomous-body employees must apply through the proper channel with the permission of their competent authority, and must submit the original No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the viva if selected
• For this post (Office Support Staff), only a written examination is held; candidates who pass the written exam are directly eligible for the oral/viva exam
• Candidates who are not Bangladeshi citizens, or who have married or contracted to marry a non-Bangladeshi citizen, are not eligible to apply
• Any quota being claimed must be clearly stated in the application; the government's latest quota policy will be followed
• If any information or document submitted by a candidate is found to be false, fraudulent, or materially inconsistent with the circular's requirements, the candidacy will be cancelled at any stage -- before, during or after the exam, or even after appointment -- and legal action may be taken
• At the viva, selected candidates must submit originals plus one attested photocopy (attested by a first-class gazetted officer) of all educational certificates, a permanent-residency certificate from the relevant City Corporation Councillor/Mayor, a disability or third-gender certificate (if applicable), an ethnic-minority certificate (if applicable), a freedom-fighter certificate (if applicable), a character certificate from a gazetted officer, a copy of the National ID/birth registration certi
• The exam schedule, admit card and any other notices will be communicated via the notice board, the taxeszone2dhaka.gov.bd website, and SMS to the candidate's mobile number
• The recruiting authority reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies
• The recruiting authority's decision on all matters related to the application and recruitment process is final and binding
• No TA/DA will be provided for the written or oral examinations
• Incomplete, erroneous, or late applications will be rejected
