Key purpose of the Job

The Manager – Engineering is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all plant engineering functions, including sewing and non-sewing machinery, engineering services, and building maintenance. The role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, maximizes machine availability, manages spare parts and consumables, drives continuous improvement initiatives, ensures compliance with maintenance and safety standards, and upholds the organization's Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance and plant operations.

Manage engineering strategies, budgets, resource planning, and improvement projects to achieve operational objectives.

Drive machine setting optimization, SMV improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and engineering audits.

Oversee facility maintenance projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business goals.

Lead and develop the Plant Engineering team while ensuring efficient execution of engineering functions.

Education

Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience

6 to 9+ years’ experience in plant engineering function

Minimum 5+ years of experience in sewing machine maintenance and facilities management

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 6 to 9+ years’ experience in plant engineering function
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in sewing machine maintenance and facilities management
