Job description

Jahangirnagar University (Savar, Dhaka) invites applications for 4 posts of Laboratory Assistant (Physics Department - 1, Wazed Miah Science Research Centre - 1 (re-circular), Botany Department - 1 (re-circular), Biochemistry and Molecular Biology - 1 (re-circular)), Grade 12 of the national pay scale 2015 (Tk 11,300 - 27,300), under its amended recruitment circular dated 13 October 2026 (ref. রেজি/প্রশাসন-২/২৬০৭(১৫০), amending the circular of 23 September 2026). Applicants must apply separately for each office. Applicants must create a profile on https://jobs.juniv.edu, fill in their name, father's and mother's names, date of birth, address and national ID details, upload all educational certificates and pay the application fee online (debit card, credit card or mobile banking): Tk 300 plus 1.20 percent service charge. The online application closes at 11:59 PM on 31 October 2026. After applying online, the candidate must download the filled-in form and the payment receipt, attach two sets of attested copies of certificates, citizenship papers and experience certificates, and deliver them to the Registrar's office by post or in person by 4:00 PM on 1 November 2026; an application without the hard copy is cancelled. Serving employees must apply through their own authority. Where a post is advertised in several offices, applicants must apply separately for each office.

Requirements

• Master's degree in the relevant science subject plus at least 3 years of experience working in a laboratory and conducting practical classes at a government or autonomous institution; or a bachelor's degree in the relevant science subject plus at least 4 years of such experience
• No third class / CGPA below 2.5 at any level of education is acceptable
• Serving employees must apply through their own authority
• Candidates who applied earlier for a re-advertised post do not need to apply again
• Apply online at jobs.juniv.edu and deliver two sets of attested hard copies to the Registrar's office by 4:00 PM on 1 November 2026
