Factory General Manager

Position: Factory General Manager. Industry: Specialized in Pouch Manufacturing / FMCG Manufacturing. Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh. Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biochemistry or a related field is preferred. Experience: 15–20 years of relevant professional experience, with strong experience in machine manufacturing and factory operations. Salary: As per experience and capabilities. Job Summary: SidSam Group is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Factory General Manager to lead and manage the overall operations of a manufacturing facility in Dhaka, Bangladesh, specializing in automated pouch packaging machinery, pouch-making systems, and high-speed production equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in factory management, production planning, machinery operations, quality control, manpower management, compliance, maintenance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall factory operations and production activities
• Plan and monitor production, productivity, and quality targets
• Lead and manage production, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and manpower
• Ensure smooth and efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials
• Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Monitor factory costs, wastage, inventory, and operational efficiency
• Implement SOPs, safety practices, and process improvements
• Handle manpower planning, discipline, performance, and team development
• Coordinate with management on production planning, targets, and business requirements
• Ensure timely achievement of production and delivery commitments

Requirements

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biochemistry or a related field is preferred
• 15–20 years of relevant professional experience, with strong experience in machine manufacturing and factory operations
• Strong leadership and factory management skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing and quality processes
• Experience in packing machinery, pouch-making, or automated production equipment
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to independently manage a manufacturing unit and lead a large team
