Job description

The Office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Taxes Zone-9, Dhaka (32 Gareeb-e-Newaz Avenue, Sector-13, Uttara, Dhaka), under the Internal Resources Division of the Ministry of Finance, is recruiting on a temporary basis to fill vacant posts from Grade-13 to Grade-20 by direct recruitment from permanent residents of Dhaka Metropolitan area and Dhaka district (notice no. 1E-10/Recruitment/TZ-9/2026-2027/(Part-3)/247, dated 19 October 2026). This listing is for 1 Driver post at Grade-16 of the national pay scale (Tk 21,900 - 52,900). The required qualification is Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent pass, and candidates must be 18 to 32 years old on 1 October 2026.

Selection is by written and practical (driving test) test followed by a viva for this post. Applications are online only, through the Taxes Zone-9 Teletalk recruitment portal (tax9.teletalk.com.bd), from 25 October 2026 (10:00 AM) to 14 November 2026 (5:00 PM). Requirements

• Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent pass from a recognised board
• Valid light vehicle driving licence
• Must pass the driving test
• Permanent resident of Dhaka Metropolitan area or Dhaka district
• Age 18 to 32 years as of 1 October 2026; an affidavit is not accepted as proof of age and the latest government rules apply
• Not eligible if not a citizen of Bangladesh, married to or engaged to marry a non-citizen, or convicted by a court of an offence involving moral turpitude
• Employees of government, semi-government and autonomous bodies must apply with their authority's permission; candidates already in the tax department select the Departmental Candidate option on the online form
• Employed candidates must hand in the original no-objection letter from their employer at the viva
• Candidates claiming a quota must say so clearly in the application and attach the certificates required by the latest government policy
• At the viva, bring original certificates with one attested photocopy set and two recent colour photographs (attested by a first-class gazetted officer), the citizenship certificate from the city corporation councillor or mayor, a character certificate from a first-class gazetted officer, the original National ID or birth registration, and a colour print of the Applicant's Copy and Admit Card
• Selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate from the Civil Surgeon and have their background verified
• Application fee Tk 112 (Tk 100 fee plus Tk 12 Teletalk service charge); Tk 56 for small ethnic group, physically challenged and third gender candidates
• Online application and fee payment open 25 October 2026, 10:00 AM and close 14 November 2026, 5:00 PM
• Upload a colour photo (300x300 px, max 100 KB) and signature (300x80 px, max 60 KB) with the online form
• Fee is paid by two SMS messages from a Teletalk prepaid mobile within 72 hours of getting the User ID; the application is not accepted until the fee is paid
• Only one post may be applied for; incomplete, erroneous or late applications are cancelled
• No TA/DA is paid for the written, practical or viva exams
• Exam dates and times are announced on the Taxes Zone-9 notice board, www.taxeszone9dhaka.gov.bd and by SMS; the authority may amend or cancel the circular or change the number of posts
• Forged documents or false information lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage
