Corporate Security Manager, Leaf

Job description

The incumbent is the security leader representing Corporate Security for the Leaf operation in Bangladesh and assigned area of responsibility. The position provides support to the Corporate Security team in delivering the Corporate Security Strategy and supporting all JTI Leaf business entities, operations and projects within the specified Area of Responsibility (AOR), covering all facets of the security program with a risk-based, cost-effective approach that adds value to the business. The role also requires hands-on tactical engagement as required, and the incumbent may be called upon to provide security support anywhere inside Bangladesh as directed by the Country Corporate Security Manager. This position will remain open until filled.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices and policies to reduce risk, respond to incidents, and limit exposure and liability through a Security Risk Register
• Serve as an alternate member of the Crisis Management Team, providing operational security support during crises and incident/crisis management training
• Identify trends and best practices in the Bangladesh business environment and recommend policies and strategies to reduce vulnerability of JTI assets
• Manage, through a network of site security responsible persons and vendors, programs supporting the security of executives, employees, stakeholders and visitors at work and during business travel
• Provide security support to personnel in high-risk environments, including personal protection, pre-travel briefings, residential security surveys, special event security, and transportation advice
• Develop audit plans and manage security audits, assessments and follow-up recommendations for business operations
• Manage supply chain security programs within the Area of Responsibility to protect operations and products and ensure brand integrity
• Coordinate with Corporate Audit, Legal, People & Culture, Health & Safety and Global Supply Chain functions to conduct objective investigations of security-related allegations/incidents
• Maintain and develop effective working relationships with Leaf management team and factory leads, briefing them on security issues and emerging threats
• Develop relationships with law enforcement, intelligence, business partners and security associations inside and outside Bangladesh
• Exercise financial management of the assigned security program, including annual budget planning, outlook updates and YTD actuals reporting
• Oversee management of local contracts with security service vendors for guarding operations, technology applications and investigative support

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent professional experience, complemented by demonstrated achievements
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in military, law enforcement, intelligence, corporate security, or related environments
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; knowledge of additional regional languages is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
