Contract Specialist

Job description

KONE is hiring a Contract Specialist in Riyadh to make sure sub-contracts are made in line with KONE contract guidelines and policies and to support the Project Manager and team with contract compliance, claims monitoring, cost control and final account discussions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sub-contracts are made in line with KONE contract guidelines and policies
• Support the Project Manager and team in preparing a Project Execution Plan and maintaining the control processes defined in it
• Fully understand the scope and terms of the main contract and sub-contracts, including KONE's obligations to the customer and subcontractors' obligations to KONE
• Monitor KONE's compliance with contractual obligations throughout the contract term
• Monitor potential claims, report matters potentially harmful to KONE and keep records of variations to scope and events that entitle an extension of time
• Maintain a filing system for contractually and financially significant documentation, including a register of contra charges
• Support the team in converting opportunities into profitable variation orders
• Ensure payments to and by KONE and notifications to third parties are made on time
• Monitor cost control and client change control processes and maintain project forecast costs, revenue and profitability using SAP and business reporting tools
• Produce monthly reports such as the liability statement and cost/value reconciliation
• Lead and coordinate project final account discussions with the customer
• Resolve, or help Legal resolve, contract disputes with the customer and subcontractors, and follow changes in laws and regulations that affect the project
