Chief Accountant

Job description

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, part of the Anantara Hotels & Resorts brand, is looking for a Chief Accountant to take full responsibility for the resort's month-end closing and financial reporting.

The role prepares reconciliations, inter-hotel invoices and monthly financial statements for department heads and executives, approves payments and ledger transactions, and feeds budget and forecast input to the corporate office.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for month-end closing
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and take actions accordingly
• Prepare monthly invoices for other Anantara Hotels, the General Manager, and store and shop rentals
• Prepare all journal vouchers for month-end closing
• Prepare monthly financial statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives
• Approve various city ledger transactions before posting
• Approve payment requests, travel expenses, employee advances and petty cash prior to payment
• Provide input to budget preparation, forecast reports and monthly reporting to the corporate office
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned
