The Senior Engineer, Costing will be responsible for development costing operations, partnering with sourcing development and brand stakeholders to drive best-in-class costing processes and seasonal development costing that support hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of product cost across several VF brands, products and countries. This individual will support modernization and standardization of costing approaches utilizing consistent, data-driven, automated and efficient processes in partnership with VF product sourcing teams and vendors in the country of manufacturing, bringing a strong product and manufacturing background to work closely with product sourcing and development teams on designing to cost to achieve product cost savings for the organization.

• Champion connectivity and seamless information sharing across vendors and cross-functional stakeholders in sourcing, brand, material and planning organizations
• Manage seasonal development costing milestones and activities
• Lead negotiation with vendor partners utilizing fact-based costing methodologies and product engineering to achieve higher profitability
• Provide FOB and landed costing perspectives to support sourcing strategies and vendor allocations
• Ensure costing process adherence by costing operations teams and vendors, tracking and reporting on key metrics
• Demonstrate strong leadership ensuring best standards of performance, collaboration and partnership across the product supply organization
• Achieve improvements in costing activity productivity through eliminating redundancies, automating repetitive tasks and optimizing processes
• Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives and conduct analyses producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment

যোগ্যতা

• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial garment manufacturing, buying office, or trading company
• Ability to understand technical specifications, Bill of Materials, and garment construction
• Knowledge of fabric weaving, construction, and dyeing processes is a plus
• Knowledge of embellishments such as print techniques, embroidery, quilting is a plus
• Experience in sweater knits and accessories is an advantage
• Strong negotiation, analytical and reasoning skills
• Strong in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Oral and written fluency in English
• Experience adopting change, business process redesign or process reengineering
