Senior Business Analyst - Manufacturing

As a member of the IT FX / MFG 4.0 Solution Portfolio team, the Senior Business Analyst applies a high level of business systems analysis expertise in the manufacturing area, with working knowledge of a manufacturing environment and extensive knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Process and digital solution understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supply chain and costing domains such as order management, inventory, warehouse, shipping, transportation, work in process, bills of materials and purchasing is needed; standard costing knowledge is an advantage.

The analyst leads analysis for conversion of legacy data and regression testing, provides analyses and specifications for development work on new or changed system requirements, and trains, implements and supports business processes. The role documents business policies and procedures to meet company standards and leverages standard system functionality to implement efficient and consistent Avery Dennison global processes.

• Provide leadership and support for Apparel MES/APS/WMS global solution design, implementation and rollout project execution from a business process and digital solution perspective
• Translate business objectives into requirements and functional specifications, supporting document creation and automation efforts
• Use business analysis, data mapping and data validation to assist development of coding specifications
• Manage testing for assigned deliverables, identify and document defects and quality issues, and drive resolution throughout the system development life cycle
• Prepare test and training plans, develop training materials and deliver formal training
• Lead change with key stakeholders, management and end users to ensure involvement and effective project completion
• Perform full regression testing of system changes for patches and upgrades, working with software suppliers to diagnose and resolve MES problems
• Support end users on supply chain and manufacturing modules and processes, including interfaces with third-party systems such as MES and shipping
• Act as primary IT PM coordinator for site building and rollouts, tracking project charters, schedules, resource allocation and deliverables from scoping to hand-over
• Coordinate between site business stakeholders, the MFG 4.0 team, IT and external implementation vendors to ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree
• 5+ years of hands-on Business Analyst experience with MES/WMS in manufacturing, warehousing or apparel/industrial environments, including 0-to-1 implementations or full-lifecycle deployments
• Basic understanding of the shipping module in ERP (Oracle EBS / Fusion ERP / SAP)
• Experience with WMS/MES integration to Oracle Fusion ERP or SAP S/4HANA
• Proven experience as an IT project coordinator managing multi-site software rollouts, vendor schedules and cross-functional deliverables
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum certification is advantageous
• Fluent English, written and spoken, with the ability to lead workshops; Mandarin is a plus
• Willingness to travel frequently, domestically and internationally
• Apparel/printing industry manufacturing experience and/or Oracle ERP (EBS/Fusion) is a strong plus
