HSBC is hiring a Manager, Financial Reporting and Accounting, Finance (Vice President) in Dhaka. The role ensures accurate and timely submission of financial reporting to the Group reporting team, oversees the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation process, is accountable for the periodic control assessment and testing of individual controls, provides input to the closing timetable and statutory reporting deadlines, advises on financial and regulatory treatment of new business, and gives business finance support with regular contact with senior management. Per BRPD circular no. 02 dated 16 Jan 2025, any applicant from a bank or financial institute must pass the Banking Professional Exam (JAIBB & AIBB) to be appointed in a higher position at HSBC. • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reporting to the Group reporting team
• Oversee the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation process
• Be accountable for the completeness of periodic control assessment and testing of individual controls
• Provide input to the closing timetable, including internal reporting timelines and periodic lodgment of all statutory reporting by external deadlines
• Input into financial approval of new business, advising on the financial and regulatory treatments applied
• Work closely with the business to provide business finance support, with regular contact with senior management
• Interpret and implement all Bangladesh Bank circulars and guidance related to financial reporting
• Support the development and implementation of improvement initiatives and drive efficiencies in reporting
• Drive reporting changes to provide more value added
• Adopt technology-driven solutions to streamline activities and automate manual processes

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's degree from a public or private university
• Qualification from any professional accounting body (CA, CMA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
• Strong financial services knowledge and relevant working experience at managerial level
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflicting priorities
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-changing environment to tight deadlines
• Applicants from a bank or financial institute must have passed the Banking Professional Exam (JAIBB & AIBB) per BRPD circular no. 02 dated 16 Jan 2025
