UNICEF Bangladesh is seeking an Information Management Officer (Level 2, Temporary Appointment, 364 days, job no. 596316) to help strengthen the information systems and evidence that guide programmes and the humanitarian response in Cox's Bazar. Working within the Planning, Monitoring and Reporting team under the supervision of the Monitoring Specialist (Data and Information Management), the Officer supports the coordination of the office Information Management Pool, the operationalization of a central information management system, the standardization of indicators and reporting processes, and better data quality across UNICEF programmes and UNICEF-led sectors. The role combines technical information management with coordination and practical service delivery: databases and digital platforms, dashboards, GIS and emergency monitoring, contributing to JRP, HAC, HPM, donor and programme reporting, and building the capacity of colleagues and partners to use data responsibly. Duty station: Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. Applications are made through the UNICEF careers portal.

• Coordinate the Information Management Pool and central information management system.
• Strengthen and integrate programme and sector information systems.
• Standardize indicators, reporting and data quality assurance.
• Support evidence-based planning, assessments and target setting.
• Produce analysis, dashboards, GIS and emergency information products.
• Support humanitarian, programme and donor reporting.
• Strengthen information management capacity, coordination and responsible data management.

যোগ্যতা

• University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in geographic information sciences, statistics, computer science, information technology, information systems, engineering, ICT, or another relevant technical field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in information management, data management, monitoring and evaluation, statistics, research, GIS, or related work in a development or humanitarian context.
• Fluency in English and Bangla.
• Desirable: advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in one of the above fields.
• Desirable: knowledge of another official UN language or a local language.
• Desirable: experience in database design and administration, indicator management, data collection and validation, data-quality assurance, analysis, visualization and reporting.
• Desirable: strong practical skills in Microsoft Excel and at least one database, business-intelligence or GIS platform.
• Desirable: familiarity with ActivityInfo, Power BI, ArcGIS/QGIS, digital data-collection platforms, APIs, SQL or UNICEF/sector information systems.
• Desirable: experience with humanitarian planning and reporting processes such as JRP, HAC, HPM or inter-agency 4W/5W reporting, and knowledge of the Rohingya refugee response or Bangladesh programme context.
