The Office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Taxes Zone-4, Dhaka (Old Revenue Building, 5th floor, Segunbagicha, Dhaka-1000) has invited online applications for 8 Head Assistant post(s) (Grade 13, pay scale Tk 24,000-58,000) on a temporary basis through direct recruitment. This is one of 6 posts (49 vacancies in total, Grade 13 to 20) in the circular dated 1 October 2026, based on clearance from the Ministry of Finance, Internal Resources Division. Candidates must be permanent residents of Dhaka district.

How to apply: apply online only at https://tax4.teletalk.com.bd from 5 October 2026 (10:00 AM) to 25 October 2026 (5:00 PM). Upload a colour photo (300x300 px, max 100 KB) and a signature (300x80 px, max 60 KB). After submitting you receive a User ID and Applicant's Copy; pay the exam fee by two SMS from any Teletalk pre-paid number within 72 hours: Tk 112 (Tk 100 plus Tk 12 Teletalk service charge); Tk 56 for ethnic minority, physically challenged and third-gender candidates. An application is not accepted until the fee is paid. Exam schedules are published on the Taxes Zone-4 notice board and website (taxeszone4dhaka.gov.bd) and sent by SMS. Note that applying through the Teletalk portal requires paying this SMS fee.

• Bachelor degree in any subject from a recognised university with at least second class or equivalent CGPA
• Computer typing speed of at least 30 words per minute in English and 25 in Bangla
• Skill and experience in computer word processing, e-mail and fax machine operation
• Selection by written exam, practical test and viva
• Age 18 to 32 years as on 1 October 2026; no affidavit is accepted as proof of age
• Only permanent residents of Dhaka district may apply
• Must be a citizen of Bangladesh; a candidate who marries a non-citizen or is convicted for moral turpitude is not eligible
• Government, semi-government and autonomous body employees must apply with the permission of their authority and submit the original no-objection certificate at the viva; Tax Department employees must tick the Departmental Candidate option
• Quota is applied as per government policy; the quota must be stated clearly in the application
• A candidate may apply for only one post
• False or forged information or documents lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage, with legal action
• No TA/DA is paid for the written, practical or viva exams
• Original documents with one attested photocopy and two recent colour photos must be shown at the viva
