Chittagong Grammar School Dhaka (CGSD) is committed to the holistic growth and development of every student, providing a broad and challenging education that helps learners reach their full potential. CGSD follows the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum. This is a full-time, on-site English Teacher role for Grade 7 at the school in Banani, Dhaka. The English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CAIE curriculum, using a variety of teaching methods to support diverse learning needs, prepare lesson materials, assess student progress, give constructive feedback, and keep accurate records of achievement. The role involves creating a positive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and school leadership, participating in staff meetings and professional development sessions, and communicating regularly with parents and guardians, and contributing to co-curricular activities. দায়িত্ব

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the curriculum and students' learning needs
• Teach English literature, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and spoken English
• Develop students' analytical, creative, and critical-thinking skills through discussions, literary analysis, and structured writing activities
• Support students in improving their pronunciation, fluency, and overall communication skills
• Prepare assessments, evaluate students' work, and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Monitor student performance and provide additional support where necessary
• Collaborate with colleagues and academic coordinators on curriculum planning, assessments, and student development
• Communicate professionally with parents and participate in school meetings and professional development activities

যোগ্যতা

• Bachelor's degree (Honours) in English or a relevant discipline is mandatory
• A teaching qualification or relevant professional training will be an advantage
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience with students in Class 7 or higher is required
• Experience teaching secondary-level English, including literature and language skills, is strongly preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English with clear pronunciation
• Strong knowledge of English language, grammar, and literature
• Effective classroom management and student engagement skills
• A caring, patient, and student-centred approach to teaching
• Strong communication, planning, and assessment skills
• Ability to motivate students and support diverse learning needs
