University of Dhaka invites applications from Bangladeshi citizens, with allowances as per rules, for the following vacant post.

Post: Electronic Technician (Re-advertisement)

Office: Department of Physics

Number of posts: 1

Pay scale: Tk 23,500-56,800 (National Pay Scale 2026), Grade 14

Educational qualifications and experience:

- SSC and HSC or equivalent in Science with at least 2nd division or GPA 3.00 (out of 5.00)

- B.Sc/B.S (Science), or a 4-year Diploma in Engineering in Electrical/Electronic Technology with CGPA 3.00 (out of 5.00) or 2.75 (out of 4.00)

- No 3rd division/class at any stage of education: at least 2nd division or GPA 3.00 (out of 5.00), and 2nd class or CGPA 2.75 (out of 4.00)

- At least 6 months of computer training from a government or government-approved institution, with proficiency in computer operation

- For internal candidates, any one condition may be relaxed

- Candidates with job experience may be given preference

Applicants must mention all their educational certificates and degrees in the application; concealing any of them will mean it is not recorded later and administrative action may be taken under the rules, and the points benefit of the promotion policy will not be given.

How to apply (offline): send a written application on plain paper addressed to the Registrar, University of Dhaka, giving the required information, with attested copies of all examination certificates and testimonials and a bank draft/pay order of Tk 300 in favour of the Registrar, University of Dhaka (postal orders are not accepted). The application must reach the office of the Chairman, Department of Physics, University of Dhaka, by 18 November 2026. Candidates already in service must apply through the proper authority.
