MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL), funded by the U.S. Government, is a global mechanism that improves access to quality, integrated health services, including safe childbirth, child vaccination, treatment of illness and malnutrition, and outbreak control. Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate, implements the program in Bangladesh.

The MCGL District Technical Specialist is the project's primary point of contact with Ministry of Health district officials in Jamalpur, coordinating the project's life-saving services and work plan activities across the district and monitoring local partners' contributions. Applicants upload a single document containing a cover letter, resume, and current and expected salary. Female candidates are encouraged to apply; the selected candidate is subject to a pre-employment background investigation.

দায়িত্ব

• Plan, execute, monitor and report on MCGL district-level activities for maternal, newborn and child health, immunization and nutrition services
• Provide ongoing technical oversight and ensure quality of health service delivery, in coordination with Regional Technical Managers and the Technical Director
• Maintain productive working relationships with MOH district counterparts, other USG implementing partners, the MCGL management team and local partners
• Coordinate MCGL technical activities by local partners in delivering services at district level
• Prepare district-level technical and program reports and contribute to M&E data collection and reporting
• Coordinate district technical activities in compliance with Jhpiego, USG and Government of Bangladesh policies
• Ensure quality and consistency of technical activities across partners and MCGL-supported service delivery points
• Travel regularly to MCGL-supported sites to monitor service delivery and give real-time feedback

যোগ্যতা

• MBBS degree required, preferably with MPH
• At least 5 to 6 years of work experience in a relevant field
• Technical expertise or project management experience in at least two of: maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition and immunization; quality improvement; community health development
• Demonstrated ability to lead efficient project management processes across a district-wide, decentralized program
• Preferred: proven monitoring of work plan activities implemented through local partners
• Preferred: strong knowledge of the Bangladesh health system and previous district-level experience
