The Complex Director of Engineering (Pre-Opening) leads all engineering, technical services and facilities management activities during the pre-opening, opening and operational phases of the resorts. The role ensures that engineering systems, building infrastructure, MEP installations, life safety systems and back-of-house facilities are delivered to brand standards, local regulations and operational requirements. The position is the primary liaison between owners, project consultants, contractors, designers and hotel operations, and builds an efficient engineering department. Reports to the Complex General Manager / Regional Director of Engineering.

দায়িত্ব

• Lead all engineering activities during hotel development and pre-opening and represent hotel operations in design reviews and construction meetings
• Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire and life safety, kitchen, laundry and HVAC drawings
• Monitor construction progress, coordinate snagging, defect inspections and handover, and ensure contractor punch lists are completed before opening
• Participate in testing and commissioning of all building systems and coordinate authority inspections and approvals
• Develop the Engineering Department structure, and recruit, train and onboard engineering team members
• Establish engineering SOPs and preventive maintenance programs, and ensure efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm and fire fighting systems, BMS, ELV, kitchen and laundry equipment, elevators, pools, boilers, chillers, generators and irrigation
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, Civil Defense requirements, fire and life safety procedures and emergency response planning
• Develop pre-opening engineering budgets, annual CapEx and OpEx plans, and manage engineering contracts and service agreements
• Develop sustainability and energy conservation initiatives and monitor utility consumption
• Develop asset registers, implement a CMMS and manage warranty documentation and claims with contractors
• Manage contractors and specialist vendors during construction and the defects liability period
• Ensure all engineering systems are operational before opening, support mock operations and trial stays, and complete opening checklists and handover documentation

• Knowledge of MEP, HVAC, fire and life safety, BMS and ELV systems
• Ability to manage contractors, budgets and multi-property engineering teams
