Titas Sweater Industries Ltd. is hiring a Chief Designer for its Sweater Division at Kashimpur Road, Konabari, Gazipur. The Chief Designer creates original sweater concepts and collections for major US and EU buyers, runs the full sampling process from tech pack to approval sample, optimizes yarn consumption against target FOB costs, and leads the junior designers, CAD programmers and sample room technicians.

The role needs deep practical knowledge of sweater construction, machine gauges, stitch types and automatic knitting (Shima Seiki / Stoll), plus enough English to present collections directly to buyers and buying houses.

দায়িত্ব

• Research international fashion trends, seasonal colour palettes and yarn developments to create original sweater concepts and collections
• Develop artwork, stitch structures and swatches tailored to major international buyers (US/EU)
• Analyze buyer tech packs, sketches, construction details and measurement specifications
• Oversee end-to-end sampling so Proto, Fit, Salesman (SMS) and Approval samples are accurate and on schedule
• Select yarn counts and compositions compatible with machine gauges (3G, 5G, 7G, 12G, 14G, etc.)
• Apply knowledge of Cable, Jacquard, Intarsia and structural stitches and Shima Seiki / Stoll automatic knitting
• Optimize yarn consumption and design parameters to reach target FOB costs
• Work with merchandising and costing teams on commercially viable production runs
• Manage and mentor junior designers, CAD programmers and sample room technicians
• Coordinate with Knitting, Washing and Finishing to eliminate sample defects
• Present design collections and artwork to buyer representatives and buying houses

যোগ্যতা

• HSC or Diploma (Fashion Design, Textile Engineering or any trade course)
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of sweater design experience in reputed sweater factories
• Proven leadership track record as a Senior Designer or Chief Designer
• Expert understanding of sweater construction, yarn behaviour, gauge specs and finishing treatments
• Functional English communication for buyer interactions
