University of Dhaka invites applications from Bangladeshi nationals for 01 (one) permanent post of Assistant Professor at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research. Pay scale Tk 35,500-67,010 (National Pay Scale 2015).

Qualifications: first class or a minimum CGPA 3.50 out of 4.00 in both Bachelor and Master degrees in Social Welfare/Social Work, with a first division or a minimum GPA 4.25 out of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC examinations; SSC/HSC requirements may be relaxed for candidates who obtained the first position/highest CGPA in both Bachelor and Master degrees. At least 03 years of university teaching experience, or at least 02 years of postdoctoral research, or at least 06 years of research experience as a research/scientific officer or equivalent in a reputed research organization. Candidates with a PhD need at least 01 year of university teaching experience. At least 03 research publications in indexed/quality journals with a DOI (predatory journals not accepted). Candidates should have Google Scholar, LinkedIn and ORCID IDs. Relevant notes and conditions apply.

Application guideline: fill in the online application form and pay the application fee of Tk 750 by logging on to https://jobs.du.ac.bd by 11:59 PM on 15/11/2026. After completing the online application, download the filled application form and payment slip as PDF; submit 08 (eight) printed copies of the form with the payment slip to the Registrar, University of Dhaka, within office hours on 16/11/2026, attaching attested copies of certificates, testimonials, mark sheets and proof of experience to each copy. Candidates already in service should apply through proper authority.
